JavaNLP meeting notes for 05/23/03

This week Kristina gave us a tutorial of her POS tagger. Chris announced his
triumphant expulsion of all gnu.regexp-related code from JavaNLP. No meeting
next week because most of us will be at NAACL/CoNLL. Next meeting will be
Wednesday, June 4th at 4pm in Gates 498. We can discuss whether or not to
have one last meeting on June 11th. At the June 4th meeting, Joseph will
give a tutorial on various useful util classes sprinkled throughout JavaNLP.

Tasks:

Dan: 
- add threshold (prior) to linear classifiers

Sep: 
- finish converting dbm docs to document readers

Roger: 
- tell us about your new lexer stuff

Kristina: 
- convert tagger tutorial to HTML and make it a package comment

Teg: 
- use classify api for pubcrawl and report any successes/failures
