About me

Hey there! I'm Anusha Balakrishnan, and I'm pursuing my Master's in Computer Science at Stanford University. I'm currently working on deep learning for dialogue systems with Percy Liang at the Stanford AI Lab. Previously, I was a full-time machine learning engineer on the Siri team at Apple, where I worked on productionizing machine learning models for Siri and Spotlight Search. I graduated from Columbia University in December 2014 with a B.A. in Computer Science and Linguistics.

In the summer of 2016, I interned with the Ads Ranking team at Pinterest, where I worked on automatically optimizing various ad quality thresholds to maximize revenue and clickthrough rate.

Research Interests

I'm interested in the applications of machine learning to natural language processing, particularly to dialogue systems and to research in the behavioral and social sciences. I'm also fascinated by computational biology and computer vision, which I've only recently started to learn more about.
