Running Kirrkirr on old, slow hardware

To get Kirrkirr to run a bit more quickly on old hardware (slow CPU, little memory), we recommend doing the following. Open the kirrkirr.properties file with a plain text editor, like SimpleText or NotePad, and make the following changes:

• Change the value of the property kirrkirr.oldDomains to true
• Change the value of the property kirrkirr.oneRHSPane to true

You can also set these values in the GUI using the Configure Preferences tab, but if you're having trouble loading Kirrkirr, you might have trouble getting to that screen.
