Bio

Ryan Cotterell is a tenure-track assistant professor at ETH Zürich in the Department of Computer Science and a member of the institute for machine learning there. He was previously at University of Cambridge and has done research stints at Google AI and Facebook AI Research. During his PhD, he worked with Jason Eisner at Johns Hopkins University. He has many research interests, including but not limited to, information-theoretic Linguistics, bias and fairness in NLP systems and computational morphology.
